Right to Repair & Green Jobs: REPper Educational Pilot for Secondary Schools in Italy

13/02/2026

As part of the European REPper project (Interreg Euro-Med), Altroconsumo has developed a local training pilot dedicated to secondary schools, focusing on the right to repair, circular economy principles, and emerging green professions.

The initiative is inspired by the sustainability objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and is integrated into a broader three-year educational pathway, GEA EDU, Ideas for the Future, promoted by Articolo 49 Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to social responsibility through education.

What We Covered

The training pilot provides key information and practical insights designed for students, teachers, and families. Its core objective is to raise awareness about responsible consumption and empower young people to become active promoters of sustainable behaviours.

The material of the training  develops the following topics in 5 educational sheets supported by a video interview/lesson

    1. The right to repair: what it is
    2. The stages of the right to repair standard
    3. The Ecodesign Regulation and the Digital Product Passport
    4. Sustainable consumption
    5. Right to repair and green jobs

The materials have been available since April 2025 via the educational platform, inclasse.net

What we achieved

The purpose of the training is to raise awareness among students, as well as teachers and families, about adopting good practices in their daily lives, thus becoming an example and advocate for virtuous behaviour and to stimulate debate among young people, encouraging constructive discussion and the development of new ideas and solutions.
