On 25 April 2025, Local Economic Development Agency Vlore (AULEDA), organized an outreach activity to inform citizens the initiative aimed to bring the principles of repair, reuse, and circular economy closer to the local community.
Through an information stand set up in a central public area of Vlore, AULEDA engaged directly with citizens, providing clear and accessible information about the REPper project’s objectives and its contribution to fostering a culture of repair as a sustainable and economically beneficial practice.
During the activity, more than 300 citizens received informative leaflets presenting AULEDA’s work, the project’s mission, and the environmental and financial advantages of repairing everyday items instead of replacing them. The outreach also encouraged dialogue on sustainable consumption habits and practical ways individuals can contribute to the circular economy.
As part of the engagement effort, citizens were invited to complete questionnaires designed to assess local behaviors and attitudes toward repairing household equipment and personal items. The collected data will serve as valuable input for AULEDA’s study on the repair sector in the Vlora region, helping to identify trends, needs, and opportunities for sectoral development.
“Repair is not only a practical solution, it is an act of responsibility toward the environment and the community,” AULEDA representatives emphasized. Encouraging citizens to adopt repair-oriented habits supports both sustainable growth and a more conscious lifestyle.
AULEDA remains committed to promoting circular economy models and strengthening local awareness on sustainable consumption practices.
Every repair matters, for our wallet, for the environment, and for a more responsible future.
